OOMT is the development fund of the mobility industry, consisting of 80,000 employees and 12,000 employers. They support the industry with coaching, research, events and career advice with the goal of taking the industry to the next level.

The emergence of electric vehicles has significant impact on car companies; it requires not only less maintenance, but also new knowledge. Many car companies find it difficult to deal with these changes. OOMT was looking for an appealing tool to create awareness and provide support.

For this beautiful challenge, we developed a highly realistic VR experience: an interactive, virtual environment of the garage of the future. VR, 3D animation, 2D animation, audio design and storytelling come together uniquely. The tool to give the garage owner insight into the future and a first step towards transformation.

THE QUESTION

While car companies currently still focus primarily on internal combustion engines, a big change is on the horizon. Electric vehicles are the future, but car companies are not yet making this topic a priority. OOMT wants to make them aware of the upcoming changes and its impact on their companies.

''Our target group sometimes finds it difficult to make serious topics discussable. That's why we were looking for a tool that immediately arouses interest and can be a reason to start a conversation,'' says Ellen Hiep, communications consultant for OOMT.

The cooperation between OOMT, Richtingmakers and C4Real formed a powerful triangular relationship. OOMT brought the content, Richtingmakers directed the campaign and C4Real developed the thoughtful concept of the VR experience. Ellen: ''A collaboration between different specialists, each in their own strength.''
